With the weather changing, it’s the perfect time to fire up your grill! Nothing says summer like perfectly cooked meats with those appetizing grill marks. Dust of your BBQ accessories and lets get grillin!!

Ingredients:

2 steaks roughly 0.47 lbs each (I used 2 organic NY strip streak, turned out extremely tender and fresh) see below

2 tablespoons salted butter

2 teaspoon garlic powder

2 teaspoon meat tenderizer

2 teaspoon adobo without pepper

1/2 medium sweet onion

1/4 cup portabella mushrooms chopped

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper or to taste

Instructions:

Heat up your grill on medium heat. Meanwhile, prep the steaks by seasoning them with 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, meat tenderizer, and adobo on each side. Cut butter into two 1/2 teaspoon tabs and place one on each steak. Slice onion into thin slices and chop mushrooms to preferred size. to a small/medium sized pan over medium heat, add olive oil. After about 2 minutes add onions, mushrooms, butter, salt, and pepper. Continue to cook over medium heat until mushrooms and onions have softened and have a nice golden brown color. Once the grill is warmed, place each steak on the grate with butter on top. Grill for about 3-4 minutes and then flip. Grill for another 3-4 minutes for medium cooked. Check to make sure steaks are cooked to your liking and remove from grill. Let stand for about 3 minutes, top with mushrooms and onions and serve with your favorite side.

Enjoy!!

This is the brand of steak I used from Shop Rite and it was delicious, healthy, and affordable
