About Me

Food has always been an integral part of my life and upbringing since before I could remember. Some of my fondest memories were sitting around the table with family, eating a home cooked meal, drinking wine (of course) and laughing until we were crying. Today, as an adult, those are still my favorite moments!

My parents always said that a silent meal was a good meal. This was how you knew someone really enjoyed your cooking because they had no time to talk while shoveling food into their mouths taking pleasure in every bite. And that my fellow foodies was my first lesson in cooking; it isn’t what others say about your food, instead it’s what they don’t say that counts. That was just the beginning of my love for food.

Over the years I have used what I knew from my family, what I learned from others, and what I could find online to get where I am today. I have never had any professional training in culinary arts and although I would absolutely love the opportunity, for now I am sticking to cooking, eating, and writing for fun, all while sharing it with the world!

Over the last few years I have enhanced my cooking skills and food has become my passion. I am not into cooking  fancy dishes, just good ol’ easy home cooked meals. From time to time I like getting creative and experimenting with new ingredients and seasonings.

More recently, my blogging has really taken off. Since April 2016 I have been contributing to Philly Bite Magazine online featuring restaurant reviews in the Philadelphia area. I am also a #Foodiechats ambassador and join in for weekly Monday night #Foodiechats conversations on Twitter… Everyone is invited to see what the buzz is about, just search #Foodiechats!

When I am not writing, cooking, or eating, I am spending time with my friends and family. I am married to an incredible guy who supports everything I do and has been extremely forgiving even with some of my trial recipes LOL. Together we have 2 awesome dogs, Bear and Skylar. Both pups reap the benefits of my constant cooking, which you might hear about from time to time. And just recently, we incorporated 5 Barred Rock hens to our family for daily fresh organic eggs. The girls are growing so much every day and getting pretty big, probably because I feed them just about everything we don’t finish….

I am so excited to share my food journey with you!!
