Sabrina’s Cafe in downtown Collingswood, NJ is a great place for a casual meal. They offer breakfast, brunch, and dinner options daily including vegan and vegetarian dishes as well. My brother-in-law suggested we go for lunch last weekend and it was absolutely divine. The atmosphere is very laid back with modern decor and a completely open floor plan. The front of the restaurant is covered in windows allowing you to enjoy the beautiful weather and any events happening in town.

The menu was HUGE and it took us a while to decide what we wanted to try. After several conversations with the waitress regarding what the fan favorites on the menu were, I decided to go with the Ahi Tuna sandwich on a toasted brioche bun topped with caramelized red balsamic onions and wasabi mayo. The tuna was cooked to a nice medium rare temperature and the caramelized onions were AMAZING! The bread was a bit too much, overpowering the tuna, I just ate everything without it and asked for extra wasabi mayo for dipping. I am an extreme lover of anything wasabi so I also dipped my Parmesan fries in it too.

Of course, I had to sample everyone else’s food also! My husband ordered the Huevos Rancheros, which is blue corn tortillas topped with smoky chorizo sausage, lime sour cream, spicy guacamole, two eggs, and pepper jack cheese. OH MY, this dish was out of this world! The contrast of various flavors worked so well together giving layers of texture and tastes in every bite. Next time we go back, I am definitely getting the Huevos Rancheros.

My brother-in-law had the Challah French Toast stuffed with farmers cream cheese topped with fresh sliced banana and vanilla bean syrup. The french toast was so fluffy and rich dripping in sweetness. It was the ideal breakfast choice that also would have made an incredible dessert.

Collingswood is known for the many diverse restaurants located right on Haddon Avenue, but Sabrina’s Cafe should definitely be added to your list of brunch places to try. If you don’t live near Collingswood, check out their website for locations in Philadelphia. They are also BYOB, so make sure to bring your favorite bottle of champagne for some mimosas with fresh squeezed orange juice!
